THE EMPEROR'S CLUB
At St. Benedict's prep school, the boys are disciplined, mannered, and ready to learn. But when a bad apple enters the classroom of the well-respected Mr. Hundert, chaos ensues. Sedgewick Bell is a kid with a chip on his shoulder and a powerful senator for a father. He is a shock to the system of Mr. Hundert, whose firm moral standards and unshakeable integrity are genuinely challenged by Sedgewick's eye-rolling, rule-breaking, uncaring insubordination. Determined to change Sedgewick, "mold him," and bring out the strong and true character that he believes to be at the core of every student, Mr. Hundert makes Sedgewick his priority. However, their bond will remain a thorn in Mr. Hundert's side for years thereafter, even beyond his retirement. Based on a short story by Ethan Canin, and directed by Michael Hoffman, The Emperor's Club uses crisp photography and convincing performances to communicate this wholesome tale of honor, morality, and trying to do what's right at all costs. It's a good movie and a beautiful story.

The Stolen White Elephant
Mark Twain

A man heard a curious story from an old railway acquaintance.
In Siam, the royal white elephant was very important and only kings could have one.
One day the king of Siam decided to send the Queen of England a white elephant. The old man traveled with his servants, and the officers and helpers of the elephant on a ship. The animal was sick, and they arrived in New York harbor and stayed in Jersey City, but the elephant was stolen. The man hurried to New York to seek help and inspector Blunt decided to investigate but this was not an ordinary case.
The inspector noted some information about the elephant, than he said they had to offer a reward. The elephant could eat a Bible or a man, or anything between a man and a Bible. Detectives were sent to investigate in various directions and soon came telegrams saying where the elephant was, he killed a lot of people and destroyed everything. In a city where the elephant went, he was hit by gunfire and fled through the fog. Afterward the inspector made an appointment to negotiate with the thieves. The elephant was recovered but he was dead, he died of hunger.
Inspector Blunt got famous for solving the case but the old man lost the reward money, his job in Siam and the king's confidence.

Poem

Love's Secret
William Blake

Never seek to tell thy love,
Love that never told can be;
For the gentle wind doth move
Silently, invisibly.

I told my love, I told my love,
I told her all my heart,
Trembling, cold, in ghastly fears.
Ah! she did depart!

Soon after she was gone from me,
A traveller came by,
Silently, invisibly:
He took her with a sigh.

Music

Tears In Heaven
Eric Clapton

Would you know my name if I saw you in Heaven?
Would it be the same if I saw you in Heaven?
I must be strong and carry on,
'Cause I know I don't belong here in Heaven.
Would you hold my hand if I saw you in Heaven?
Would you help me stand if I saw you in Heaven?
I'll find my way through night and day,
'Cause I know I just can't stay here in Heaven.
Time can bring you down; time can bend your knees.
Time can break your heart, have you begging please,
begging please.
Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure,
And I know there'll be no more tears in Heaven.
Would you know my name if I saw you in Heaven?
Would it be the same if I saw you in Heaven?
I must be strong and carry on,
'Cause I know I don't belong here in Heaven
'Cause I know I don't belong here in Heaven
